Was your New Year’s resolution to finally find the man of your dreams? Well, look no further! MEET BUDDY.
Buddy comes to CalWEAR after getting hit by a car and turned in as a stray to the local shelter. Right away we knew his stunning good looks and sunny disposition made him ideal for CalWEAR.
He is as healthy as a horse, aside from some minor cuts and bruises from his accident. He is excellent with other dogs, including small dogs. No idea how he is with cats or children.
He shows zero food aggression and is quickly learning how to walk on a leash.
He is about 90% housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door.
To unwind in the evenings, Buddy likes to Netflix and chill out on the couch with his foster family. He does great with car rides and baths.
The vet thinks Buddy might be about two years old and a little bit underweight (56 lbs), but his foster family is fattening him right up.
He still has a lot of puppy exuberance so he may do best in a family that has a big yard and a lot of time to spend with him. Probably not best for a family with small children.
He is OK in his crate, but it’s not his favorite place and he will bark and bark if left alone for too long.
Like all Weims, he is a Velcro dog and a food hog, but if you bond with Buddy, he will be your best friend for life.
