HUNTER UPDATE:
Recently adopted CalWEAR alum Hunter is loving life as Chief Couch Potato in his Southern California coastal home. He is finally on the mend from his ear polyp removal surgery, ear infection, bladder infection, and bladder stones (as if being a four-time shelter offender wasn’t traumatic enough 
!). This ol’ gentleman is finally getting his happily ever after.

NEED A BRICK IN YOUR LIFE?!?!?!!!!
MEET HUNTER.
Hunter’s favorite thing to do is rest his big noggin’ on your lap. Give him the chance, and he’ll plop his whole body all over you. 
We don’t “know” much about Hunter the “Yellow Weimaraner” (that’s what his kennel card said he was) because he was pulled from the SD Bonita shelter. He has a few scars and battle wounds, so we can only assume that previous occupations may have included:
1) Gladiator
2) Heavyweight fighter
3) Lumberjack
4) Sniper
5) Crawlspace investigator
We think his former boss was too tough on him, or maybe the years of hard work forced him to take an an early retirement and crawl out his situation a la Andy Dufresne in search of a better life.
Now that he’s with CalWEAR, Hunter is learning how to be a good citizen. He’s getting along with his foster siblings (CalWEAR alums Gracie and Pepper) and enjoying a slower pace of life, sprinkled with doses of fetch, which is like, his favorite. Thing. Ever.
Hunter is eight years old, neutered, vaccinated, and located in Escondido, CA.
Thank you Nathan and Lisa for opening your home to this big lug. Now let’s find him a great retirement home!!!!
