Remember PHOENIX!?!?! Update…she was the poor Mexico dog who was hit by a car and thought to maybe never walk again. She was placed in foster through Calwear and NorCal Weim Rescue’s teamwork. TODAY…she is happy, healthy and loving her USA life! No matter what is going on in the world our dogs live for today and love unconditionally. She walks, she runs, she plays and she loves her new family. I just have to thank each and every person who rallied for her, donated to her care and sent endless prayer angels her way. THANK YOU! Here is her before….and her TODAY. 
Phoenix Goes to NCWR

PHOENIX is transferring from SoCal to NorCal today. Once she arrives at her next vet, we’ll be scheduling an FHO surgery to repair (again) the broken hip.

Phoenix Transfer Update
Phoenix made it over the border and into Southern CA. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather AND her condition upon arrival, we had to call off her scheduled flight to NorCal.
Phoenix was in a lot of pain yesterday as it appears her stabilized shifted during transport. 
Fortunately, she is in great hands in Yorba Linda, back on a heavy dose of pain medication, and first thing tomorrow, we’ll be taking some x-rays and hoping for a clear understanding of what we need to do to re-set the screws from the initial surgery.

Phoenix Update
Because Deborah, Allyson, and THREE WEIMARANER RESCUES came together for PHOENIX, she has made it through surgery to repair a fractured hip, and is now working her way from Mexico to California. Thank you everyone for your love and support.

MEET Phoenix!
Currently Phoenix is in Mexico. Poor girl was hit by a car and landed in the hands of an angel who took her to the Vet in TJ. X-rays show a broken hip. We are told she should be able to walk again but as of now won’t get up. CalWEAR is working diligently to get her here to the US. She first needs pain management and possibly surgery to repair the hip.This is so new that we as of yet do not even have an estimate for the surgery. She is in a lot of pain so we just need to go ahead and help her now. We also need a rehabilitation foster to care for her after the surgery. Anyone have a quiet home she can relax in and lounge on a couch?
We can’t help her without all of you! CalWEAR has committed to her and with the help of Friends for Pets and and various other individuals in and around Mexico…we are trying hard to get her care. Anyone want to help and donate? Please go to our PayPal account and put PHOENIX in the notes so your donation goes directly to her care. We are quite sure her fees will be in the thousands and will post a copy of the Vet Estimate the moment we get her in.
