Meet Finn our miracle dog! Picked up as a stray deemed a medical lifer CalWEAR stepped in to help thinking Finn was a terminal case. Several vets took a look and an ultrasound was preformed. A brave surgical team stepped up and what was thought of as cancerous nodes turned out after surgery and biopsies to be a hematoma, weighing 778 grams (approx. 1 3/4 lbs. + fluid) caused by severe bodily injury. The additional nodes were fat deposits caused by severe malnutrition and poor diet. Although he may be more suited to be called Brutus since he lacks grace and is a super gentle giant. Super smart boy who learns extremely fast! In less than 3 weeks he learned all his basics and is extremely sweet. LOVE people and has learned affection and attention, all new to this boy. Gets along great with other dogs and NOT at all with cats. He did attack his foster’s cat and has a severe HATE for cats. His hind legs were atrophied and Finn was walking on his hocks. With daily walks he is learning walking on a leash and on his feet! He is the perfect companion dog for someone who does not have nor never plans on having a cat. Finn needs a home that will truly love him for the amazing dog that he is. No barking, no counter surfing (seriously) no separation anxiety, stays off the furniture. Knows how to open screen doors, water bottles, get out of a car seat belt without destroying the harness…Finn needs an Addison Steroid Injection every 25 days or so. It will take a special someone to take this lovely boy in.
