Horner’s Syndrome in Weimaraners

Among other things, Horner’s Syndrome in dogs causes the appearance of a sunken or “droopy eye.” It’s actually not uncommon. Darryl has an apparent case of Horner’s Syndrome. (So did Kopek, another foster dog in our care.)

Most of the time, we don’t know what causes it. Sometimes, it’s trauma or injury. Regardless, there’s really nothing you can do, and it will generally run it’s course. Maybe a couple of weeks, maybe a couple of months.

Just give it time.
