KNOX UPDATE:
Happy days are here for our 7yo boy! He is living more comfortably and wagging his tail more often. Knox’s cough and heavy breathing are gone, and he has been eating regular meals for two days now.
He started showing interest for canned venison on Saturday night and is now onto kibble with ground beef. Although Knox is eating, he only eats if his foster dad, Charlie, is standing next to him.
In addition to eating regular meals, Knox is now accepting and enjoying a variety of treats and cookies. It’s a huge relief to see his sense of smell and appetite return!
He is now up to taking long walks several times a day without showing fatigue and with some pep in his step. Although he is a low-key and easy going boy, Knox tends to trot when he’s being spoken to and praised during his walks. He is a great walker on the leash and proves to be very loyal and compliant without a leash; although that has been tested in short moments of time and in secured conditions.
Knox shows excitement whenever he sees the leash, is very interested in cuddling and leaning, and has learned basic commands (and his name). Other than walks and cuddling, he enjoys sleeping in “his” bed and snoring.
Thank you to all the supporters who are sending love and light Knox’s way for a speedy recovery and all those who can and have donated towards his vet bills!
