Lilly Blue

June 9, 2017 //  by Kim//  Leave a Comment

June 9, 2017 Update # 2:

GOOD NEWS! (Blue Lilly) is EXCELLENT on a leash and non responsive with reassurance “it’s ok” as we passed a ferocious smallish dog visible behind a fence. I really like this dog and she is going to light up someone’s world. She’s starting to relax a bit and her silly personality is starting to shine.

Bad News: Lilly STILL NEEDS A FOREVER HOME.
We’ll be updating her bio to include these bonus points.
Happy Friday,
❤ Amy & Team CalWEAR

June 9, 2017 Update # 1:

Most of you will see this photo and say, “Awww… Weims…” But to Lilly’s foster family, this is a GINORMOUS milestone of everyone living in (seemingly) harmony. ❤️

(Up until now, Lilly was sequestered from the others.)

It appears that with time, even the most anti-social Weimaraner can learn to be part of a pack. 👍😊

Oh, and Lilly (the blue girl on the left) is still looking for her forever home.

May 26, 2017:

I’ve been able to get several days of one on one time with Lily. I think she really needed this rehab time to relax because this girl is a sleeper. She’s going to be perfect for someone. Who will it be?

LILY, BLUE FEMALE approx 8 years old
No dogs (shows signs of fear aggression with some dogs).
No cats.
Unsure of kids at this point.
She’s very sweet and has no problem in our pack but has been abused by cattle dog pack mates constantly nipping at her heels to the point of wounds.
Please spead the word and if you are interested in giving this lady a home….

May 22, 2017:

Folks. If you’re looking for a calm, gentle Weimaraner who doesn’t need much beyond love and comfort, please consider Lilly. Her family left her for Ohio. From there she was donated to a monastery, where their Australian Cattle Dog beat her up over and over again. By the time she reached CalWEAR she was limping due to open (and untreated) sores. She’s physically healed, but likely will never trust a cattle dog or any other coated dog, again.

Please spread the word.

– With love and gratitude, Team CalWEAR ❤️

LILLY UPDATE: Back at the vet for her check-up. All good and ready to be adopted. 😊

April 30, 2017 Update # 2:

Lilly wants to know if she can have a cookie for being a good girl and getting on the scale all by herself. 🤗

In other news, we have torn muscles, lots of swelling, inflamed joints, infection of the wound, and a double ear infection. But the good news is her spirits are good and she LOOOOOVED her vet. ❤️

More to follow on the adventures of Miss Lilly.

April 30, 2017 Update # 1:

ATTN: SEEKING EMERGENCY FOSTER!!!

My name is Lilly. I’m an 8+ year old blue girl with a lot of heart and even bigger ears. A couple of months ago, my family left for Ohio without me. The monastery in Techachapi took me in and gave me love… But unfortunately, their Australian Cattle Dog just couldn’t warm up to me and kept attacking me. Im too nice to fight back, so then I was given up for my own safety. I may appear to be a tough girl, but once you look past the week-old puncture wounds on my legs, you’ll see that I’m as sweet as they come. I load in the car well, I’m happy in my crate, and don’t bark a lot. Please let me know if you have room for me, even if it’s only temporary?! ❤️ Love, Lilly.
