WINTER UPDATE:
“She’s learning how to play with the other dogs!!! And she chewed on her first antler this week, which she thinks is just. the. coolest. thing. ever. When she thinks I’m not paying attention to her, she’ll actually sneak up to me to see what I’m doing. But once I make eye contact, she slinks into the shadows again. We’re still working on the house breaking; my dining room rug is likely a goner. But on the bright side, she’s VERY GOOD about being in crates, both the wires and the Rough Tuffs. If she’s feeling threatened in any way, that’s the first place she goes to. Winter is still dragging a 5’ leash around because she’s still dodgy about having anyone come near her, but she’s MUCH better than she was last week. Hoping with all my might we continue to make improvement. She’s a beautiful, soulful girl, and she deserves to ultimately be in a home where she’ll feel safe for the rest of her life.”
