MEET WINTER (right).
Winter came to CalWEAR last week after a family friend convinced her owner NOT to take her to the pound. Officially, the reason was because the other dogs in the household weren’t getting along with her.
Unofficially, we think it’s because she wasn’t getting along with the other dogs.
When we got to Winter (thank you Rhonda!), she had been living in a garage. A few days later, we transferred her into a foster home with Nicky and Mark, and their CalWEAR tripawd, ROCKY.
Day one was rough.
Winter was reactive, fearful, and eager to escape. She didn’t know what to make of her foster brother. She barked and barked and barked. No one got any sleep.
But then, today happened. Winter’s foster mom caught both dogs sharing the bed.
PROGRESS!!!!!!!
To minimize the propensity for future scuffles, CalWEAR is seeking a family for Winter where she can be the only dog in the household. Interested parties may reach us however you’d like! We’ll take phone call, text, messenger, or smoke signal.
